In addition to traditional "talking therapy", I can offer creative interventions, such as drawing, writing, sand tray, visualizations, etc. This approach is useful for clients who are comfortable with intuitive ways or working, or for those who find it hard to find the words they are looking for. I may also teach relaxation and body awareness to help with stress, panic attacks, and to help manage and understand anger.
About Counselling
Life is not what it's supposed to be. It's what it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.(Virginia Satir)
Deciding to come to counselling is a brave and important step towards making positive changes in your life. You will have the opportunity to talk to another person who can listen without judging you and who can provide feedback which helps you clarify your own thoughts and feelings. Counselling is NOT about giving advice or changing who you are, but rather working together so that your life feels more satisfactory. I won't sit in silence but I will actively interact with you.
